Abstract :
The aim of this research was to determine the influence of cumulus cell on in vitro culture medium toward mice embryos development from one cell until blastocyst stages. This research used two months old female and adult male mice, superovulated with PMSG and HCG. After collecting oocytes, then fertilization was carried out in vitro. After six hour zygotes were transfered to a culture medium M16, some zygotes was cultured with cumulus cell and others without cumulus cell. The result of research showed that one cell embryo that cultured without cumulus cell were better than cultured with cumulus cell. Indicating cumulus cells probably increased glucose metabolism. Early development of embryo of mice do not need much glucose after passing block development cell. Therefore in take of high glucose at early development will reduced of the develop¬ment embryo at one cell stage. The number of embryo developed until blastocyst were higher in embryo cultured without cumulus cells than cultured with cumulus cells.
