Abstract :
Premature delivery is one of the problems in obstetric service. By the increasing knowledge on premature delivery, methods to overcome the problem are also improved. One of these methods is the use of cerclage. The use of cerclage in preventing premature delivery has rarely performed since not all premature deliveries requiring cerclage. Cervical incompetence is a condition in which cerclage can be used to prevent premature delivery. We reported cervical incompetence in 20-21 week pregnancy with cerclage. This pregnancy could finally became aterm pregnancy. Cervical length measurement using transvaginal ultrasonography, the length of the cervix was found to be 18 mm. The patient was subjected to cerclage and monitored up to the time of aterm delivery. The infant was born with caesarean secton without removing the cerclage. Male infant was born with birthweight of 3850 grams, length 52 cm, with AS 5-8. The mother was discharged on day 4 in good condition. The infant had neonatal icterus and asymptomatic hypoglycemia with satisfactory general condition, and was discharged on day 5 due to the request of the family.
