Abstract :

The objective of this study was to know the relationship of age to retained placenta and  its impact on estrus and pregnancy. This study was conducted at KUTT Suka Makmur Grati, Pasuruan, East Java. The methods used in this study is a survey method. The data was analyzed using descriptive and path analysis. The relationship of age, incidence of retained placenta, estrus, artificial insemination and cases of pregnancy was analyzed using path analysis. The results show that persentages of retained placenta on dairy cattle at the age over five years is 54,1% and at the age under five years is 45,9%. Age positive effect (T>1,96) of retained placenta with a path coefficient 0,94. Retained placenta negative effect (T>1,96) of estrus with a path coefficient -0,21. Persentages of pregnancy on dairy cattle is 45,9% and not pregnancy is 54,1%.
