Abstract :

This research was determined the progesterone serum levels of Fat Tailed Sheep before using and after releasing subcutaneous progesterone implant. The animal laboratory consist of 20 un-pregnant Fat Tailed Sheep devided into 4 group of experiment by randomized system. The experiment groups consisted of P0 (control) were given injection with PGF2α 7 mg i.m., whereas P1, P2, P3 were given progesterone hormones each 50, 60, 70 mg of subcutaneous progesterone implants and conducted for 11 days. The progesterone serum levels were determined using ELISA (Enzyme linked Immunosorbent Assay) test. The data was analyzed by Kruskal-Wallis, continued by Mam-Whitney. Statistical comparisons were performed by SPSS v20.0 for windows. The result of this research showed that using of subcutaneous progesterone implant increased the progesterone serum levels (P<0,05) Fat Tail Sheep.
