Abstract :

The aims of this research was to found the causes of repeat breeding on the cattle at Kecamatan Wonomerto, Kabupaten Probolinggo, Jawa Timur. Seventy six cattle were used as samples  thirty eight were repeat breeder of cattle and the other thirty eight were normal cattle. Data  collected by interview about age, body condition scoring, estrous report and arrived inseminator, artificial insemination after birth, observed of insemination, and the others. Data analyzed by descriptive statistics followed by Chi Square Test. The result of the research indicated that no significant difference (P>0,05) was age, body condition scoring, artificial insemination after birth, observed of insemination, meanwhile significant difference (P<0,05) was estrous report and arrived inseminator the used advanced tests with range 6-12 hours and 13-18 hours (P>0,05), 6-12 hours and more than 18 hours (P<0,05) dan 13-18 hours and more than 18 hours (P<0,05). The conclusion the causes of repeat breeding at Kecamatan Wonomerto were estrous report and the time insemination improper and insemination more than 18 hours would impact to succed of AI (Artificial Insemination).
