Abstract :

       The aim of this research was to calculate reproductive efficiency of beef cattle artificially inseminated in Wringin Subdistrict, Bondowoso District in 2012. Reproductive performance indexes such as conception rate, services per conception, and calving rate were obtained by two approaches. The first approach was through an interview to farmers and the second approach was through secondary data obtained from inseminator. Data of artificial insemination activities and calving included name inseminator, bull code,  number of inspected cows, number of insemination, number of acceptor, breed of cow, and number of calves. Processed data was tabulated and presented as bar chart. Survey result showed a 45% conception rate, 1.92 services per conception, and 52% calving rate. Meanwhile processed secondary data resulted a conception rate of 45.26%, services per conception of 2.23, and calving rate of 55%.
