Abstract :
Knowlegde sharing is an activity where individu share their knowledge to others during the implementation of knowledge management in organisation. Through knowledge sharing all of the organisation’s staff can easily share their best practices and experiences, create new ideas, and save more time in problem solving. Knowlegde sharing has become important since organisation realizes that knowledge is the most valuable asset to keep sustain in global economic, and those knowledge are coming from their knowledge workers. Thus, organisation depends on their knowledge workers. However, knowledge sharing is not easy to build, and it depends on the organisation leader/manager. Leader/manager has big role in the succesful of knowledge sharing. Leader should give motivation and encourages all staff to do knowledge sharing. A leader can promotes reward/incentive system to encourage staff to contribute and willing to share their knowledge to the collegues. Reward/incentive could be either material or immaterial that been given to every staff who conduct knowledge sharing. A leader also should build trust environment among staff as well as within staff and leader. Trust is a crucial thing since people would not like to share their knowledge if they feel unsecure and threaten to lose its knowledge after the sharing process. Furthermore, a leader should ensure the open access to any information in organisation database, this will lead to information transparency and increase trust between staff and organisation.
