The inovation of outbound to increase gross motor development on preschool children

Abstract :
Introduction: Preschool children need some stimulation for environment for gross motor development. Stimulation in the children period can influence gross motor abilities development in movement skill. Lack of fundamental movement skills has been shown to decrease physical activity. Outbound games is experiental learning which is given to children to practice gross motor skill. The objective of this research is explaining the effect of outbound to the gross motor development for preschool age (5-6 year). Methods: Design used in this study was Pra Experimental with one group pre-post test design. Sample was obtained through purposive sampling. It was conducted at Dwi Warna Jaya Kindergarten, Surabaya which there were 22 children aged 5-6 years old. The independent variable ini this research was outbound games and the dependent variavle was gross motor development. The data were collected trought observation. They were analyzed by Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, with significance α ≤ 0,05. Result and Analysis: Result of this research revealed that 54,5% respondents which have increase gross moto skill. Results of Wilcoxon indicated significant level to increase movement skills ( p = 0.001) , it means that the impact outbound games to gross motor development. Discussion: It can be concluded that outbound games has effect gross motor development on preschool ages. Giving regularly outbound for children can increase gross motor skill. This games can be applied by nurse, parent, and teacher to give stimulation for gross motor development in preschool children. Its can also used to give stimulation for further research which related with preschool children development
