Abstract :
This study was aimed to determine the antibacterial potency of honey and Noni juice to Staphylococcus aureus and the effect of giving honey and Noni juice to decrease the number of Staphylococcus aureus on chicken carcasses. Benefits of this study were to inform the public about the benefits of using honey and Noni juice as an antibacterial material to Staphylococcus aureus and also as a natural preservative for chicken carcasses. The method used was a sensitivity test Kirby Bauer diffusion method. This study consisted of 6 treatments with 5 replications, which were P0 as a control, honey (P1), Noni juice (P2), mixture of honey and Noni juice in ratio of 1:1 (P3), 1:2 (P4) and 21 (P5). The results showed that honey and Noni juice has antibacterial potency to Staphylococcus aureus and could decrease the number of Staphylococcus aureus on chicken carcasses.
