Expression difference of Αvβ3 in the endometrium after the administration clomiphene citrate, combination of clomiphene citrate and metformin, or metformin

Abstract :

Comparing the effects of clomiphene citrate, metformin and the combination of clomiphene citrate with metformin to αvβ3 integrin expression in the endometrium. This study is  a randomized experimental study, using rat Rattus novergicus Wistar strain as a model case of PCOS. PCOS model was made by administering injections of testosterone propionate at a dose of 1 mg/100 BB Rattus. The second step, is to provide clomiphene citrate therapy, the combination of clomiphene citrate and metformin, or metforminalone in Wistar strain Rattus novergicus who have PCOS, and then assess the expression of αvβ3 integrin inthe endometrium by immunohistochemical staining. Statistical analysis with non parametric Kruskal Wallis test. If found significant results then followed by two sample rank test Mann-Whitney U test for equality of two treatment groups. Statistics done by using SPSS. Result: P1 group (placebo) to compare with  P2, P4and P6 (Group 1), have significan different rates of integrin αvβ3 expression for each rat is 14.41 (p = 0.002).When the group P1 therapy group P3, P5 and P7, have significan different rates of expression of αvβ3 integrin for each rat is 11.999 (p = 0.007). Overall the mean difference in expression of integrin αvβ3 group 1(group P2, P4, P6) and group 2 (group P3, P5, P7) significant (X2 = 23.94, p = 0.000). If all treatment groupscompared to the average difference there is also significant expression of integrin is 29.64 (p = 0.000).Conclusion : There are differences in the expression of αvβ3 integrin in the group given clomiphene citrate therapy alone, the combination of clomiphene citrate and metformin, or metformin alone. The highest expression of αvβ3 integrin in the combination group clomiphene citrate with metformin.
