Abstract :
The aim of this study were to determine of germicidal effect of Garlic’s grind was comparated with Iodine and Benzalkonium Chloride. Bacteria was used in this experiment is Escherichia coli derived from feces. Ten grams feces were taken from four different cages respectiably, homogenized and fill two grams of that feces in each of 13 pots. All the pots were mixed with two cc of antimicrobial in concentration of 2.5%, 5%, 7.5% and 10%. We observed the colony’s growth on the media and analyzed with Viable Count Technique. The design of this study was completed random design with factorial 3x4( 3 level factor type and 4 level concentration of type) and was replicated three times. Data were analyzed being using Anova. If there are many significantly, continued to Real Different Squares. The results showed that the type of antimicrobial materials has significant effect to Escherichia coli (p < 0.05), whereas the interaction between type of material and concentration didn’t have significant effect. The study also showed that the benzalkonium chloride was the best effect material, while garlic’s grind has the same effect comparated with iodine.
