Abstract :

The aim of this study was to identify the pandemic H1N1-2009 virus on pigs in Pegirian Surabaya slaughterhouse by using HI test. Nasal swab of pig sampels were taken from Pegirian Surabaya slaughterhouse. Before the swab samples were tested by HA test, they were inoculated to 810 days embryoned chicken eggs, then theywere incubated at 37 ºC for 3-4 days. On 3 day, the isolates were harvested. The positive result of HA test was continued to HI test. HI test was positive when there was an inhibition of agglutination. It was shown by the forming of erythrocytes sedimen like ring on the bottom of microplate’s wells. The result showed that from seventy samples, there was one sample infented by H1 of the pandemic H1N1-2009.
