Abstract :

The aim of this study was to investigate protein molecular weight (mw) of Hemagglutinin of Avian Influenza virus. The influenza virus subtype H5N1 used in this study was propagated in embryonated chicken eggs and incubated at 370C temperature for five days. The first step, the samples were identified by SDS-PAGE (Sodium Dodecyl Sulphate–Poly Acrylamide Gel Electrophoresis ). The second step, thesamples were analyzed by Western Blot which was detected about protein reactivity toward AI polyclonal antibody. The result of the research showed that molecular weight of Hemagglutinin (HA) of the samples were  76,91 kDa. That protein were antigenic protein because it showed reactivity when were reacted with AI polyclonal antibody.
