Abstract :

The purpose of this study was determine the reproductive's efficiency of Madura cattle artificial insemination results in Sumenep since 2012 that was seen from the parameter conceprion rate (CR), service per conception (S/C) and calving rate (C/R). The study was conducted using a survey method. Secondary data, reports a pregnancy and the birth of the calf during the reporting period of January toDecember 2012 obtained from the Animal Husbandry Departement of Sumenep. The data is taken fromthe report of inseminator in Batang-Batang district and  Batu putih to represent the mainland and theisland of Sepudi and Giliiyang whose represents the islands in Sumenep. The data were evaluated using descriptive analysis by calculating the mean and standard deviation and then processed using t test. At ttest showed the average value of CR, S/C and C/ R on the mainland, respectively for 63,33 ± 2,92; 1,56 ±0,09 and 63,09 ± 6,28. At the other hand the average value of CR, S/C and C/R on the islands of 61,34 ±6,16; 1,61 ± 0,19 and 62,08 ± 6,32. The results of t test analysis showed no significant difference (P>0,05) in both regions. Generally, the reproductive's efficiency of Madura cattle artificial insemination results in Sumenep classified to good.
