Abstract :

The aim of this study is to determine the effects of the tyrosine kinase addition into the egg yolk skim and egg yolk tris extenders on the motility and live percentages of the thawed Holstein Friesian (FH) semen. This study used fresh Holstein Frisian semen collected using artificial vagina then this semen divided into four treatment groups. For the first group (P1) semen was diluted in egg yolk skim contained 100 ug / ml tyrosinekinase. For the second group (P2) semen was diluted in egg yolk skim extender contained1,2% NaCl. For the third group (P3) semen was diluted in egg yolk tris extender contained 100 ug/ml tyrosine kinase. For the fourth group (P4) semen was diluted egg yolk tris extender with NaCl 1,2% (placebo). Semen from each group (P1-P4) were processed into frozen semen. After being thawed, the percentage of motile and live spermatozoa were calculated. Data was analyzed using Analysis of variance followed by Tukey test. In conclution the addition of 48 ug tyrosine kinase in a very low concentration did not increase the percentage of motile and live spermatozoa of thawed semen.
