Abstract :

This research was to know Phyllanthus niruri L. plant effect to humoral immune responsse inNewcastle Disease vaccinated chicken.The research used completed random design (CRD), pre-post control group design. Samplecollected 130 DOC broiler chicken aged 1-4 days old, divided in randomly to groups, consist of, 13 treatment; each treatment about 10 chicken,Group I consist of 1 treatment (P1), i.e: Newcastle Disease control singular doses (1 ml); Group IIconsist of 3 treatment (P2, P3, P4), i.e : Phyllanthus nirun L. with each doses about 2 ml, 2.5 ml, 3 ml; GroupIII consist of 3 treatment (P5, P6, P7), for 7 days.Before Newcastle Disease vaccinated was add with liquid extract of Phyllanthus niruri L. eachdoses of treatment 2 ml, 2.5 ml, 3 ml; Group IV Consist of 3 treatment (P8, P9, P10) i.e Newcastle Diseasevaccinated, then one day after all vaccinated would add with liquid extract of Phyllanthus niruri L. for 7 dayswith each doses 2 ml, 2.5 ml, 3 ml; Group V consist of 3 treatrament (P11, P12, P13) i.e add liquid extract ofPhyllanthus niruri L. for 7 days that was given with each doses 2ml, 2.5 ml, 3 ml, then on day of fourth addwith Newcastle Disease active vaccine.Treatment intrial animal performed after maternal antibody titer was achieved = 0, HI examinationtiter after treatment was done in 4 times periodically in each week.The obtained results showed that liquid extract administration of Phyllanthus niruri L. couldincreased HI antibody titer significantly i.e. started in second week in all treatment (group III, IV, V) andsharp increasing was accurred in third week both of control group and treatment group. Especially intreatment (P9) was significant difference (p<0.05) with other treatment. Just at the moment for P5, P6, P7were occurred HI titer increasing that suignificantly difference (p<0.05), with control (PI) in third week. Incommonly, all treatment started to happened HI antibody titer decreasing in fourth week, except for thehighest HI antibody titer was achieved by P6 of group III that significanly difference (p<0.05) withNewcastle Disease control.The conclusion of this research; Phyllanthus niruri L. plant could increased Newcastle Diseaseantibody in active Newcastle Disease vaccinated chicken. Liquid extract doses administration of Phyllanthusniruri L. affected to immune responsse appearance and the highest HI titer in third week was achived inliquid extract administration of Phyllanthus niruri L. with doses in 2.5 ml (P9).
