The giving of anti- toxoplasma gondii membran immunoglobulin y before infection reduce apoptotic index liver mice

Abstract :
The study was aimed to determine the effect of administering anti-T. gondii membran IgY against liver damage (Apoptotic index) and the effectiveness of the antibody delivery time. This research was a laboratory experimental with five treatments and five replicates each treatment using female mice (Mus musculus) as animal models. The treatment groups consisted of a P0 group (not infected), P1 group (infected), P2 group (anti-T. gondii membran IgY giving one day before infection), P3 group (anti-T. gondii mmbran IgY giving together with infection) and P4 group (anti-T. gondii membran IgY giving two days after infection), at a dose of anti-T. gondii membrane IgY as many as 75 ug/head and infectious dose by 10 tacyzoite/head, four days after infection mice were sacrificed, examined and counting apoptosis index in histopathological liver using Apoptotic kit ApopTag®Plus Peroxidase In Situ (Chemicon®International, S7101). Percentage of apoptosis index liver each treatment is P0 was 3,64%, P1 was 12.98%, 6,06% for P2, 7,73% for P3 and 10,49% for P4. Thus, it can be concluded that administration of anti-T. gondii membran IgY can reduce the liver cell apoptotic index and it was greatest when given before and simultaneously with infection.
