Abstract :
Livestock is the main strategy to fill the demand for animal protein. Especially broiler farms developed rapidly. This occurs due to the increased demand for animal protein. Broiler are sensitive to stressors, especially heat stress. Therefore, heat stress becomes a problem for farm businesses. The purpose of this study was to determine changes in serum metabolite levels of broilers exposed to heat stress, which includes levels of total protein serum, levels of total fat serum and levels of calcium serum. The research was conducted in experimental animals in cages at PUSVETMA and examination bloodanalysis performed in veterinary clinical pathology laboratory, UNAIR. This study used a sample of 20 head of DOC and the Cobb strain broilers were randomly divided into 2 treatment and 10 replicates respectively. Control group at normal brooder temperature for 6 weeks. Treatment groups at temperatures from 35 to 35.5º C begins at 7:00 to 15:00 (8 hours / day) for 4 weeks. This study analyzed using SPSS windows. The results of this study showed levels of total protein serum, serum levels of total fat and serum calcium levels are not significantly different between the treatment and control groups (p>0.05).
