Abstract :
This study aims to determine how patterns of use of antiretroviral agents in HIV/AIDS patients in UPIPI RSUD Dr. Soetomo duringJanuary-June 2011. The method of the study conducted retrosprektif observational data and analyzed using descriptive. The resultsshowed than 202 patients, ARV regimens are often used 3TC, AZT, NVP 151 as many as (74.75%) patients, 3TC, AZT, EFV as manyas 36 (17.82%) patients, 3TC, d4T, NVP as many as 6 (2.97%) patients and 3TC, AZT, TDF as many as 4 (2%) patients. Theresearch data of patients with HIV/AIDS in UPIPI RSUD Dr. Soetomo Surabaya during the period January to June 2011 showed149 (73.8%) patients using ARV original and 53 (26.25%) patients had substitution regimen. Antiretroviral regimens are the mostfrequent substitution was NVP 23.13%, AZT 12.04% and EFV 11.25%. Common side effects experienced by patients with HIV/AIDSis the occurrence of as many as 22 patients a rash caused by NVP regimen and as many as 14 patients with anemia caused by AZTregimen. Rate of patient adherence of HIV/AIDS 68.3% had adherence until 100%.(FMI 2013;49:182-185)
