The potency of morinda (morinda citrifolia) fruit distillation in combating efforts lernaea infestation of maskoki (carassius auratus) fish

Abstract :

This research used to show morinda potency to Lernaea protection in Carassius auratus and the concentration could be used. This research use Complete Random Design (CRD) with five treatment groups and five repetitions, that are A (0%) as control, B (1%), C (2%), D (3%) , and E (4%). The main parameter is observed Lernaea discharge which attached in maskoki fish after soaked with morinda fruit distillation.  Data taken be analyzed use ANOVA. The result of the research indicate that keep Lernaea count off in treatment A (0%) is 0% (nothing keep off), treatment B (1%) and treatment C (2%) are 6,25% (just one Lernaea keep off), treatment D (3%) is 12,5% (two Lernaea off), and treatment E (4%) is 25%(four Lernaea off) found unreal differences, but the highest yield gained treatment E (4%). The conclusion of this study was the noni fruit juice had the potential activity to control infection of Lernaea in goldfish, with a concentration of 4%of morinda (Morinda citrifolia) fruit distillation and 60 minutes immersion time. Based on the research results, it was recommended not to use concentration above 4% in order to avoid the death of the fish.
