Treatment of canine demodecosis in veterinary teaching hospital faculty of veterinary medicine airlangga university

Abstract :

The study of canine Demodicosis in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital Faculty of Veterinary Medicine have already done to 46 dogs during 2008-2010. There were 28 dogs one years old or less and 18 dogs two year to eleven years of age. Diagnostic of the disease by skin scraping with 10% KOH and therapy have giving Amitraz 5% bath, ivermectine and duradryl as antihistamine injection with one week interval. The recovery of these dogs are going better in 2-4 week after treatment
