Abstract :

This study aimed to determine whether there is a negative correlation between selfacceptancewith anxiety to face the working world of individual with physical disability. Based onthe research, internally individuals with physical disability generally have a low self-acceptanceand high anxiety because of there different physical condition. Externally, individuals withphysical disability discriminated by public and have limited employment opportunities.Research conducted at UPT Rehabilitasi Sosial Cacat Tubuh Pasuruan between the agesof 21 to 35 years with a number of subjects were 40 people consisting of 24 people are male and 16women.Data collection tool in the form of self-acceptance questionnaire consisting of 32 itemsand the anxiety to face the working world consisting of 45 items. Reliability for self-acceptance is0.788 and 0.901 for anxiety. Data analysis was performed with statistical techniques ProductMoment correlation, with the help of SPSS version 16.Based on the analysis of research data obtained by the correlation between selfacceptancewith the anxiety at a -0.475 with p of 0.001.This suggests that there are negative andsignificant correlation between self acceptance with the anxiety to face the working world on theindividual with physical disability. That is, the higher self-acceptance, the anxiety facing thelower the working world.
