Abstract :

The purpose of this experiment was to know the Carica papaya leaves as feed additive on increasing feed consumption, egg production and egg yolk colour in local hen. The experiment used 30 local hen were divided in to three groups, each group containing ten chicken. Group I (P0) as a control, given basal feed without Carica papaya leaves. Group II (P1) given basal feed with Carica papaya leaves 1% and group III (P2) given basal feed with Carica papaya leaves 2% Result of this experiment showed that feed additive of Carica papaya, there was not significantly different (p>0,05) to feed consumption and egg production. The feed additive of Carica papaya leaves 1% and 2% was increased (p < 0,05) egg yolk colour.
