Abstract :

This study aims to examine empirically whether there is a negative correlation betweeen selfcontrol and tendencies to juvenile delinquency behavior.The participants of this study were 265teenagers within range 14-19 years old at SMK X Kediri. The scale which measure self controlvariable consisted of 36 items and it was adapted from Self Control Scale by Tangney et.al (2004).Juvenile delinquency intention scale consisted of 31 items compiled by the research. Data analysiswas done by using Product Moment correlation statistic, with the help of statistical programSPSS version 16.0 for Windows.From the analysis of research data, can be obtained thatcorrelation between self control and to juvenile delinquency intention behavior was -0,318 with ap of 0,000. This indicated that there was a significant correlation between self control and tojuvenile delinquency intention behavior.
