Abstract :

Aerobic exercise is a kind of sport exercise which is recommended widely to increase body health status and to decrease cardiovascular disease risk, diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia, infection and cancer and support the treatment. But some research have reported that this exercise can lead oxidative stress and assumed as one of cause some marathon athletes dead. There are many factors thought to cause oxidative stress during areobic exercise, such us increasing of oxigen consumption that can be influenced by body weight. Therefore this study was aimed to know the influence of body weight to the level of oxidative stress. 30 subject 16 -19 years old was used and divided into 5 groups. Each group exercised on the treadmill with elevation of 20o for 20 minutes by intensity 8.26; 8.93; 9.59; 10.25; and 10.91 MET. Stress level was measured by Tiobarbiturat method, while the body weight was recorded by Health Scale – SMIC production that have standarized by public metrology service instantion. Blood samples was taken form cubity vein soon before and 30 minutes after exercise. The result show the increasing of MDA serum level from 24.33 ± 17.13 nmol/ml  to 34.29 ± 2027 nmol/ml with value p=0, 000, while on the analysis of mutiple regertion show the influence of body weight to the oxidative stress level with stadart coevisience 0.273. thus aerobik exercise for a momment on the male teenagers can lead oxidative stress of lipid and have positive influence to the body weight.  Physical aerobic exercise is a mode of exercise widely recommended to increase  health status  and was reported to decrease the risk or to support the therapy of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia, infection and cancer. Recently there were reports that physical aerobic exercise induced oxidative stress and this was suggested as a mortal cause of some marathon athletes.  In order to control the oxidative in aerobic physical exercise,  knowledge on the modulator is needed. Many factors may modulate oxidative stress in aerobic physical exercise including oxygen consumption. As body weight may influence oxygen consumption this study was aimed to reveal the role of the body weight in the generation of oxidative stress in acute aerobic physical exercise. Thirty three healthy students of vocational high school age 16-19 years divided into 5 groups and respectively  exerted aerobic exercise on treadmill with elevation of 200  for 20 minutes, and intensity of 8,26; 8,93; 9,59;  10,25, and 10,91 MET. The degree of oxidative stress was determined as %-increase of serum MDA concentration. Serum MDA concentration was measured employing thiobarbituric  method, and body weight was measured with Health Scale made by SIMC and that was calibrated by metrology office. Blood specimen was taken from cubital   vein just prior, and 30 minutes post exercise. Serum MDA concentration increase from 24,33 ± 17,13 nmol/ml  to 34,29 ± 20,27 nmol/ml  (p= 0, 000), and regression analysis show the positive modulation of body weight with standardized coefficient of 0,273. Acute aerobic physical exercise in male adolescent induce oxidative stress and positively modulated by,body weight.
