Abstract :

Due to its beneficial use as a pet and laboratory animal, physiological studies of Indonesian native dog become important to obtain normal values. This research aimed on comparative evaluation of cardio-respiration and body temperature of Indonesian native dog puppies at age variety which stressed on several parameters such as electrocardiogram (ECG), heart rate, respiration rate, blood pressure (systole, diastole and mean) and rectal temperature. All parameters were measured on seven male puppies which born from the same descend aged two and seven months. The ECG values were significantly different between above age, which tend to be higher on the age of seven compare to two months. Respiration rate and rectal temperature tend to increase along with the age increment, while the heart rate showed contradictory. The blood pressure relatively remained unchanged between age varieties.
