Abstract :

Rosella is a sourch of exogen antioxidant which is hoped could prevent decreasing of NO production and function, decreasing of SOD and to prevent increasing of blood pressure by inhibit superoxide free radical react with NO to form peroxinitrit and inhibit LDL oxidation.  This Study was aimed to know the differences of blood tension on the mice that given alcohol before and after treat with Rosella tea on three distinct doses. Experimental design used was pre-post test control group design. The experimental variable was rosella treatment and alcohol (uncontrolled variable), and blood pressure. 30 mice (male wistar breed) are divided into 5 gropus, these are by treated Rosellah tead 0,75gr, 1.5gr, 3gr, and absolute alcohol (100%). Data analized by ANOVA on SPSS program for windows. The result, there is differences of systolic average and dystolic average significantly on the treatment group, the higest systolic average present on the alcohol treatment (232.1667 mmHg), followinng with group alcohol + rosella 1,5 gr (134,6667 mmHg) and the lowest systolic average present on the group alcohol + rosella 3 gr (117.1667). the higest dystolic average was shown by group alcohol (184.8333), following with control group (93.5000 mmHg) and grup alkohol + rosella 0.75 gr (96.000 mmHg), and the lowest average was group alcohol + rosella 3 gr (67.000 mmHg) and group alcohol + rosella 1.5 g (74,16667 mmHg). Base on the result, it could be conclude that rosella can be used as a health baverage because it proved inhibit the increasing of blood pressure.
