Abstract :
The emerging of various fitness centers indicate that physical fitness viewed as important part to run daily activities without meaning fatigue. It is expected that from physical fitness will improve someone productivity and athletes achievement, not aside the student of PGSD majors in FIK UNY. Therefore, it is required to conduct the efforts in increasing physical fitness. One of penetration that becoming alternative is by implementing the Traditional Circuit Training (TCT) that is the execution of circuit by use available equipments where user reside in, not use modern equipment as in fitness center. Circuit or practice rotation consists of 10 stations, such as: shuttle run, sit ups, push ups, bench jump. alternate dumble press, side jump, back ups, step ups, wall volley, and frog jump.This Traditional Circuit Training have been applied during 12 weeks to all students of PGSD major year 2004-2005 in FIK UNY who are taking the lesson of badminton by 1 SKS theory and 1 SKS practice in amount to 52 people. Before and after 12 times in conduct TCT, the students to be tested by 15 minutes run. By comparing pre test with post test in table 1 for N=52 it is obtained the correlation of 0.751 and significance of 0.000. It means that traditional circuit training can significantly improve physical fitness.
