Follicle size selection influences of chromosome transformation profile on goat oocytes in in-vitro maturation

Abstract :
This study was aimed to define the influence of follicle size on chromosome transformation level of goat oocytes. Folicle where divided into two groups, based on the criterion of follicle diameter large or smaller than 100 µm. Oocytes were maturated in TCM 199 with the addition of 5 µg/ml LH, 3 % BSA and 50 mg/ml gentamycine sulfate. After incubation for 22 hours, the oocytes were stained with 1 % aceto orcein. Results showed that the oocytes colected from follicle with diameter of less than 100 µm diameter reached GV, GVBD, M I, M II at 8 %, 64 %. 13 % and 15 % respectively. While the oocytes colected from large size follicles reached GVBD, M I, and M II at 24 %, 26 % and 50 % respectively. From these results it could be concluded that follicle with diameter large than 100 µm showed better maturations compared with those of follicles less than 100 µm.
