Abstract :

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon ovarium pada kambing yang di superstimulasi dengan pFSH yang dikombinasi dengan eCG dan hCG. Sepuluh ekor kambing dewasa digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Kambing dibagi secara acak menjadi 2 kelompok perlakuan. Semua kambing diberi CIDR-g secara intravagina selama 10 hari. Kelompok 1, setiap ekor kambing diinjeksi sekali dengan total dosis 18 mg FSH, sedangkan pada Kelompok 2, setiap ekor diberi injeksi dengan total dosis 18 mg yang diberikan secara bertahap dengan interval 12 jam selama 4 hari. Pada hari ke 7 setelah pemasangan CIDR-g semua hewan diinjeksi dengan 750 I.U. eCG. hCG diberikan secara i.m. pada semua hewan 24 jam setelah pengambilan CIDR-g. Ovarium diperiksa dengan laparoskopi 7 hari setelah perkawinan. Hasil pemeriksaan laparotomi menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan yang nyata terhadap jumlah CL pada kelompok 1 (8.6  3..01) dan Kelompok 2 (4.6  2.86 ). Durasi estrus setelah pengambilan CIDR-g juga tidak berbeda secara nyata diantara kelompok ( 27.6  0.8 dan 28.4  1.6 ). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa respon superstimlasi pada kambing dengan injeksi tunggal sama efektifnya dengan serial injeksi sewaktu dikombinasi dengan eCG dan hCG.
