Abstract :

This research-based paper discusses the behavior of adolescence in using motorcycle in Surabaya. Statistical data shows that among other groups of traffic users, adolescence is the most frequent group getting traffic accidents and violating traffic regulations. The research aim is to answer the question about the knowledge of adolescence motorcycle users of traffic regulations, and the way they use the traffic. It was found that adolescence have sufficient knowledge about traffic regulations. The paper concludes that accidents involving them mainly because they consider themselves as peripherical group within the society, therefore the adolescence tend to find ways of attracting people by riding their vehicles. Besides, policemen tend to accommodate the adolescence misuse of the traffics instead of punishing the adolescence appropriately.
