Abstract :

This paper is designed to answer a question of how globalization shapes the processes of democratization. This paper reviews theoretical foundations of the relationship between globalization and democratization. Such discussion is necessary for two considerations. First, as a transition towards democracy, reform movement has its global dimension that deserves to be explored. Second, debate and discourse on the influence of globalization towards democratization processes are basically theoretical. In the early 1990s Huntington only concentrates on the phenomenon of the globalized democratization rather than on democratization as the product of globalisation.
