Abstract :
The objective of this research is confirming difference in Bcl-2/Bax expression ratio, endometrial gland count after administration of flutamide, medroxyprogesterone acetate and placebo in Rattus novergicus strain Wistar hiperandrogen as a PCOS model. The research was taken place at Animal Test and Pathology Anatomy Department in Veterinary Faculty, Airlangga University, November 2007 until January 2008 period, as approved by Animal Research Ethics Commitee, Veterinary Faculty, Airlangga University. The design was experimental research with randomized post test only control group design. Sample are consecutively recruited based on inclusive criteria and analyzed with Anova test as well as double comparation test using LSD (Least Square Difference). The result are from three treatment groups Rattus novergicus strain Wistar hyperandrogen as SOPK models were found mean ratio of Bcl-2/Bax expression in P2 group (flutamide administered) is lower compared to P1 (placebo) and P3 (medroxyprogesterone acetate administered) (P1; 1.9 ± 0.3, P2; 1.06 ± 0.4, P3; 1.2 ± 0.2, p < 0.0001). Mean of endometrial gland count in P2 group is lower compared to other group (P1; 8.5 ± 0.3, P2; 5.4 ± 0.2, P3; 6.4 ± 0.3, p < 0.0001). The conclusion is we found significant difference in Bcl-2/Bax expression and endometrium gland count on all three study group. Endometrium Hyperplasia is lower on P2 group (flutamide administered) compared to P3 group (MPA administered).
