Abstract :
The aim of this study were to determine DNA fragmentation expression of Domba Ekor Gemuk (DEG) frozen semen and it relation with spermatozoa viability and motility in different thawing duration. Domba Ekor Gemuk frozen thawed in 37°C water with 20, 40, 60 second respectively. DNA fragmentation expression was detected by using ApopTag® Plus Peroxidase In Situ Apoptosis Detection Kit. The positive result showed tan brown to black colour at the head region of spermatozoa. The result indicated that there was significant difference (p<0,01) between viability, motility, DNA fragmentation between the three thawing duration.
