Abstract :
ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the differences in the percentage of motility and viability of sheep spermatozoa in skim milk cryopreservation, green beans and a combination of skim milk and green beans in 5°C storage. Experimental animals that used were male sheep with fat tail by derivating two ejaculates of semen for three treatments. All three treatments used in these studies is P1 (1ml skim milk + antibiotic + 0,1ml sheep semen), P2 (1ml green beans + antibiotic + 0,1ml sheep semen), P3 (1ml combination of skim milk and green beans with a ratio of 1 : 1 + antibiotic + 0,1ml sheep semen). Furthermore, the data were analyzed using the F test. The results showed that the percentage motility of spermatozoa in skim milk diluent treatment was significantly different (P<0,05) with green beans and thinning treatments were not significantly different (P>0,05) by treatment with a combination of skim milk diluent and green beans. In the treatment of skim milk diluent showed the highest percentage of motility (65,63 ± 10,966) of the three treatments. On the viability percentage of spermatozoa skim milk diluent treatment significantly different (P<0,05) with green beans and thinning treatments were not significantly different (P>0,05) by treatment with a combination of skim milk diluent and green beans. In the treatment of skim milk diluent showed the highest viability percentage (69,67 ± 10,655)
