Abstract :
This research is abaout the implementation of record manager’s role Engineering Faculty of Indonesian University (FTUI). It is qualitative approach with study case method to comprehend record management process at FTUI being conducted. The result shows that the roles of record manager are played by faculty secretary and general manager whom they both manage the record based on their knowledge and experiences. It shows also among the staff whom conducting the practical of record managing. The implementation of record manager’s role in managing Engineering Faculty of Indonesian University’s record comprehended as symbolic role. It means that structurally in UI record management is on faculty secretary but in fact record management done by general manager.
