Abstract :
Senior high student wants information to support their own needs, role and also their environment, so to fulfill this needs senior high student try to perform information seeking from information channel. The goal of this research is to know the use of information channel by senior high student in Surabaya to fulfill their information needs. This research using descriptive kualitatives methods, and about 400 respondent are choosing by cluster random sampling from 4 Senior high school, which are from SMA Negeri 20, SMA GIKI2, SMA Muhammadiyah 2, dan SMA Mahardhika. This research found that senior high student in Surabaya are prefer to use another information channel than library, so it is important for school library to find a new strategy to fulfill the information need of the student.
