Abstract :

Library as an information center should be able to understand the user, with the advancement of information technology is now entering the era of library users Net Generation. net generation has different characteristics with the previous generation. This generation has a high skill and ability in the use and utilization of information and communication technologies. Characteristics of Net Generation are: Freedom, Customization, scrutiny, Integrity, Collaboration, Entertainment, speed and innovation. In order for the existence of the library can be used by Net genaration library must transform according to the characteristics of the Net Generetaion. By understanding the characteristics of the Net Generation, libraries can develop library facilities and services in line with their needs as developing information retrieval system in an integrated library where all the collections in the library can be searched by a system known as a one stop searching, service access one account access all users simply have an account to access all the services available in the library, then the library collections tailored to the needs of the net generation is more like the popular literature available in print or digital form in addition to the libraries also provide serv Request collection. The physical facilities of the library should be comfortable and designed according to the needs of the net generation by providing common information services and project room where the room is provided WIFI with high connections, and also provided expert librarians to help the Net Generation in solving the problems being faced. The transformation of the library the library is expected to be part and contribute to the development and fulfillment of information net generation.
