Abstract :

Introduction: Healthy snacks is nutritious snacks, which is not containing harmful substance that was bought by children in the school and house area. Children need enough knowledge and positive attitude in choosing snacks. Snake and ladder educative game is one of the ways in a small group to improve the knowledge of healthy snacks. The objective of this study is to analyze the influence of health education using snake and ladder educative game toward the knowledge and the attitude of choosing healthy snacks of fourth graders in SDN Sawotratap III Gedangan Sidoarjo. Method: This study used pre experimental (one group pre-post test design). The population was all of fourth graders in SDN Sawotratap III Gedangan Sidoarjo. The sampling technique was total sampling. Thirty students participated in this study. The independent variable was health education using snake and ladder educative game. The dependent variable was the knowledge and the attitude in choosing healthy snacks. The data were collected by using questionnaire and analyzed using Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test with significant level of a= 0,05. Result: The result showed that health education using snake and ladder educative game had significant influence to improve the knowledge (p= 0,000) and attitude (p= 0,000) in choosing healthy snacks of fourth graders in SDN Sawotratap III Gedangan Sidoarjo. Discussion: It  can be concluded that health education using snake and ladder educative game is effective to improve the knowledge and the attitude in choosing healthy snacks of fourth graders. The next research are expected to analyze demography factor of student related to the knowledge and attitude of choosing healthy snacks.
