Abstract :
Fertility Associated Antigen (FAA) is a protein on sperm bull which helpful to increase pregnancy rate. The present of this protein specifically can increase bull fertility. This research aimed to measure FAA on bull sperm counted by Qubit Fluorometer. Sample used are semen from 4 bulls which are 2 Simmental, 1 Friessian Holstein, and 1 Limousine. Semen obtained from frozen semen laboratory Teaching Farm ofAirlangga University. Semen is accommodated using artificial vagina. Then do the macroscopic (volume, scent, pH, color, and consistency) and microscopic (motility, viability, and consentration) examination.Sample then tested result in protein FAA. From some protein, 31 kDa show up and that protein which identified as FAA after it is reacted with monoclonal antibody anti-FAA. After that the level is counted by Qubit Fluorometer. The result is 31,0; 30,1; 31,6; and 50,9 (µg/mL elusi sample). This research show thatFAA on each bull is different.
