Abstract :

This research be done have goal to know how rock ice are carried in cylinder ice can be used as substitute liquid nitrogen (N2). Its as stored and transportation frozen semen so semen in the straw can be used to inseminate the cow.In this research sample was classified into 6 group, which are P0 (control), P1, P2, P3,P4, and P5. these sample are verified based on time and be transported by rock ice. P1 was verified at the first 15 minutes, P2 was 30 minutes, P3 was 45 minutes, P4 was 60 minutes, and P5 was 75 minutes, and then they were verified microscopically to know percentage motility and percentage the live of spermatozoa.This research have been analyzed by verified ANOVA and then by Tukey test showed absolute differences (P<0,05) on motility and number of spermatozoa lives. It caused conception rate per conception (C.R) and service per conception (S/C) what gotten in the normal range and got satisfied result, so it can be applicated to artificial insemination program.
