Abstract :

Achyranthes aspera linn leaf by the name of jarong, remek getih or pulutan according to empirically used by society to cure cancer especially breast cancer and cervic cancer. Proved scientifically fraction of alkaloid leaf Achyranthes aspera linn cause death mieloma cells according to in vitro by apoptosis and nekrosis mechanism and DNA fragmentationThis research uses animal experiment female mouse 2 months of age as much as 60 tail that are made to suffer cancers mammae with benzopyrin with dose 10 mg/kgbw according to subkutan around mammae during 8 weeks with inoculation interval 3 days. Mouse is divided to be 6 groups so that each group consist of 10 tail. This groups: negative control group that is mouse doesn't suffer cancer mamae given solution cmc, Positive control group that is mouse suffers cancer mamae given Colcemide 30 mg/kgbw, Treatment group P1, P2, P3 and P4 mouse that suffer cancer mamae given alkaloid of Achyranthes aspera linn, continously in with dose 0 mg/kgbw, 10 mg/ kg. bw; 30 mg/ kg.bw and 100 mg/ kg.bw. All groups gets treatment every day during 8 weeks. Parameter that watched by necropsi cancer mamae 1) Proliferation breast cancer cell , 2) total cell necrotic and apoptotic in experient, 3) DNA FragmentationThe result of this research fraction alkaloid Achyranthes aspera linn causes death of breast cancer more than Colcemide. Breast cancer death by mechanism apoptotic and necrotic, and DNA Fragmentation
