Abstract :

Abstract The presence of technology-based digital media into our society exciting interactive communication ac­tivities. The new media is increasingly growing due to the application of technology mobile phones that connect to the Internet service (smartphone) devices such as the Blackberry products, other Internet techno­logy applications for interactive services such as Line, WhatsApp. The concept eParticipant or digital democracy refers to the presence of this technology, so that the process of political communication will undergo rapid transformation. eParticipant is a term to describe computer-based information and in­formation technology is used to empower the awareness and knowledge (cognition), communicate, and process collaboration (cooperation) people so that they jointly build a social system that is participatory.   Keywords: e-Political Participant, Digital Democratic, Empowerment.   Abstrak Hadirnya mediaberbasis teknologi digital ke tengah masyarakat kita menggairahkan kegiatan komunikasi interaktif. Media baru kini semakin berkembang karena aplikasi teknologi telpon genggam yang terkoneksi dengan layanan Internet (smartphone) seperti produk perangkat Blackberry, aplikasi teknologi Internet lain untuk layanan interaktif seperti Line, WhatsApp. Konsep ePartisipasi atau demokrasi digital mengacu pada kehadiran teknologi ini, sehingga proses komunikasi politik akan mengalami transformasi secara pesat. ePartisipasi merupakanistilah untuk mendeskripsikan informasi berbasis komputer dan teknologi informasi yangdigunakan untuk memberdayakan kesadaran dan pengetahuan (kognisi), berkomunikasi, dan proses kerjasama (kooperasi) manusia sehingga mereka secara bersama-sama membangun sistem sosial yang partisipatori.   Kata Kunci: ePartisipasi Politik, Demokrasi Digital, Pemberdayaan.
