Peran kyai pada perceraian masyarakat migran pulau bawean

Abstract :
Abstract This study aims to determine the status and role of religious scholars in divorce in migrant communities that inhabit the island of Bawean. This study used a qualitative method with phenomenological approach. Attempts to obtain information using techniques as participant observation and indepth interviews with three informants and three respondents were determined purposively. The results showed that (a) the threshold of tolerance People Bawean towards divorce and adultery is very moderate, (b) activities amaen trigger mating early age are prone to divorce, (c) the status of clerics tend to be interpreted as a religious teacher, (6) the role of clerics not again become Ponggawa. Keyword: kyai, amaen, marriage, divorce, Bawean Island Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui status dan peran kyai dalam perceraian pada masyarakat migran yang menghuni Pulau Bawean. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Upaya untuk memeroleh informasi menggunakan teknik observation as participant dan indepth interview terhadap tiga informan dan tiga responden yang ditentukan secara purposif. Hasil penelitian mem-perlihatkan bahwa (a) ambang toleransi Orang Bawean terhadap perceraian dan perzinahan adalah sangat moderat, (b) kegiatan amaen memicu perkawinan usia dini yang rentan dengan perceraian, (c) status kyai cenderung dimaknai sebagai guru agama, (6) peran kyai tidak lagi menjadi ponggawa.
