Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship between student's perceptions of lecturers teaching method with academic procrastination tendency among students of Faculty of Psychology , Hang T uah University. The research was conducted on students both men and women between 19 and 24 years old in Faculty of Psychology , Hang Tuah University,. The number of subjects used in this study was 138 students including the class of 2007 is 32 students, class of 2008 is 34 students, class of 2009 is 30 students and 2010 is 42 students. Sampling technique used was proportionate stratified random sampling technique. Data collection tool using Likert scale questionnaire consisted of : 1) the student perceptions scale to the faculty teaching methods and the scale (45 items) and 2) the scale academic procrastination tendencies (48 items). The analysis used in this study was Product Moment correlation technique using SPS-2000 which shows a correlation coefficient score r = -0.020 with (p) to be 0.814 p> 0.05 (not significant). This suggests that there is no xyrelationship between student's perceptions of lecturers teaching methods with academic procrastination tendency among students in Faculty of Psychology , Hang Tuah University.
