Abstract :

The  purpose  of  this  research  was  to  study  the  influence  of  infusa  mangosteen  peel (Gracinia mangostana L) on blood glucose level of hyperglycemic rats (Rattus norvegicus). The research used twenty seven male rats with two month ages randomized into nine groups of treatment (P0, P1, P2, P3, P4, P5, P6, P7, P8). P0 was the control treatment, P1; P2;  P3;  P4;  P5;  P6  were  the  group  that  treatment  of  infusa  mangosteen  peel  in concentration  50%,  25%,  12,5%,  6,25%,  3,125%,  1,5625%  of infusa mangosteen peel,  P7 was  group  with  glibenclamide  and  P8  was  group  negative  control.  The  result  of  this research all concentration infusa mangosteen peel can make the glucose blood become lower of  hyperglycemic rats.  1,5625%  concentration infusa mangosteen peel can make the   blood   glucose   become   lower   although   not   as   big   as   blood   glucose   level  on concentration infusa mangosteen peel 50% and 25%.
