Meat cholesterol levels of broiler chicken male with combinations of seligi (phyllanthus buxifolius) and turmeric (curcuma domestica) flour on feeds

Abstract :

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi kombinasi tepung kunyit dan seligi dalam ransum, pengaruhnya terhadap kadar kolesterol daging ayam broiler jantan yang dipelihara sampai umur 35 hari. Materi yang digunakan adalah ayam broiler umur 15 hari strain Hubbard sebanyak 20 ekor. Percobaan dilakukan menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Perlakuan terdiri dari 5 macam, dengan ulang 4 kali. P0 = pakan basal, P1 = pakan basal + 1% TDS + 1% TK, P2 = pakan basal + 2% TDS + 2% TK, P3 = pakan basal + 3% TDS + 3% TK, dan P4 = pakan basal + 4% TDS + 4% TK. Peubah yang diamati adalah kadar kolesterol daging. Hasil analisis sidik ragam menunjukkan bahwa penambahan tepung daun seligi dan kunyit berpengaruh nyata (P>0.05) terhadap penurunan kadar kolesterol daging. Rataan kadar kolesterol daging yaitu, P0 = 86,50175 a ± 3,376845; P1 = 77,63700 b ± 2,299416; P2 = 71,83800 c ± 1,629270; P3 = 67,50475 d ± 1,402393; dan P4 = 60,14000 e ± 1,443717. Kesimpulan bahwa pakan dengan penambahan tepung daun seligi (Phyllanthus buxifolius) dan tepung kunyit (Curcuma domestica) semakin tinggi konsentrasinya, maka kadar kolesterol daging semakin turun.
