Abstract :
This research was conducted to investigate the ability of infusion of tekelan (Chromolaena odorata L.) leaf, as a medicinal plant for wound healing incision on mice were infected by Staphylococcus aureus. Twenty five of two months old male mice BALB/c strain with 25-30 gram average body weight was divided into five group P0; P1; P2; P3; and P4. P0 was negative control was not given treatment, P1 was positive control was given Povidone Iodine 10%, and P2, P3, P4 was given concentration 5%, 10%, 20% of tekelan leaf infuse. Each treatment was consisted of 5 mice. Observation of wound healing was characterized by wound closure of epithelial tissues. The experimental design used in this study was using completely randomized design (CRD). The data were analyzed by Kruskal-Wallis Statistic Method and then was followed by Mann Whitney test with a significance of 5%. The result showed the infusion of tekelan leaf increased wound healing incision on mice were infected by Staphylococcus aureus. The best results were shown by the treatment test of tekelan leaf infusion with concentration of 20%.
