Abstract :
The aim of this research was to enhance the solubility and dissolution rate of ketoprofen through inclusion complexes by hydroxypropyl β-cyclodextrin. Inclusion complexes were prepared by coprecipitation method with 1:1 molar ratio. Solubility and dissolution test were carried out to evaluate the formation of inclusion complexes. Ketoprofen-hydroxypropyl β-cyclodextrin inclusion complexes showed higher solubility, dissolution rate and dissolution efficiency than its physical mixture and pure drug. Inclusion complexes by hydroxypropyl β-cyclodextrin increased the solubility and dissolution rate of ketoprofen.
