Abstract :

The aim of this research is to find out how much a student who understands and cares about safety of slimming product that purchased online. This research is a cross sectional descriptive research with questionnaire method. The population of this study were female students who fulfilled the inclusion criteria of female sex with age range 18-23 years old and were studying S1 at PERBANAS, had known or had purchased traditional slimming product through online store and were willing to fill out the questionnaire. Samples in this study were 120 respondents. The sampling technique used was accidental sampling. Instruments used in this study was a sheet containing questionnaire data interviewer data and respondent data. Furthermore, it was presented in descriptive form of category and percentage of each category. Based on the results of research, most respondents at the age of 20 years (35%), 5% of respondents were at age 17 years and the oldest age was 23 years (1.7%). According to the respondent's characteristic data, the respondents made an online product purchase once in two months by 70%. So it could be concluded that the majority of respondents make purchases of products online once in two months. The results obtained from this research, it can be concluded that the knowledge of PERBANAS female students about traditional slimming products purchased by online 21,7% is at a high level, 65.8% at a moderate level, and 12,5% are at low levels.
